New to the area

Hiya everyone...I am new in the Fargo area...I have no transportation at this time and I want to get out and meet other musicians and maybe get in with a band or start one.....I posted an ad in the classifieds on this site and a profile on this other site here; http://bandmix.com/profile106379.html
I have what it takes to be an asset to any band or duo or trio.....or even just to have some fun and hit some of the local jam sessions.
Is there anyone in the Kindred area who would be willing to show me around and introduce me to the live music highlights in the area? I have been here for over 2 weeks and am getting cabin fever.
Let me know...please!!!

I also do alot of solo type tunes ie: harry chapin, pure prairie leauge, james taylor ect. love to jam around on acoustics and banjo, love my gr-33 i started a band called easy street which became street then cats and dogs. somes of my friends play in local acts like betty does. how old are you? have you done any studio work? well just fill me in if you want or ignore this if you will.

Re: New to the area

Hiya Gordie:

I play acoustic guitar...electric guitar...electric bass...stand up bass....mandolin.....banjo....I have never had anyone tell me what my range is....but i can go very low and very high plus a killer falsetto from years of yodelling.
I would love to do anyone's songs....my forte is old country and cowboy songs....but i can do anything and do it well.
I am staying with a friend in Kindred who is very low on funds and life has dealt him a bad hand lately....he has no car....I saw in a local musician's rag that there looks to be tons of jam sessions at the local clubs but I have now been here a month and haven't been to 1 jam or met any of the local musicians.....i am going crazy here!!!
Thank you for writing back to me....I was beginning to think there was no life up here or no one liked newbies in the area......i am not threatening at all....i can play in a band as a side man no problem........i just gotta meet some people!!!
Hope to hear from you....give me a call and we can chat more if you'd like.....Grant @ 701-428-9963
