Is walking ok for June Moon?
May I walk, or, do a walk/run for the June Moon 5k? |

The only limitation we have on walking or walking-running the race is that we have to close the course after 45-50 minutes—since the start time is 7:15 p.m., around 8:00 or 8:05. This is necessary so that we can get through the post-race activities and cleanup in time to vacate the park by 9:00 p.m. Whether that is an achievable finishing time for you depends on your projected pace per mile. Since 5K = approx. 3.1 miles, as long as you can manage at least a 15 min. per mile pace, it should not present a problem. I hope this helps! Ginny Platania Race Director, CJRRC June Moon 5K |
