Spain was represented in the JUNO/LA GALGA litigation by James Goold of Covington Burling in Washington DC Asst US Attorney General Carolyn Blanco sought to represent Spain's interest in the shipwreck believed to be (but never proven) the 1802 firgate JUNO, but the US District Court (Judge Calvitt Clarke, EC VA) pointed out to her that she was the Asst US Atty General, not that of Spain. So Spain sought out its own counsel. Goold is now making a cottage industry out of attempting to steal shipwreck finds under the assumption that the must still belong to the King of Spain.
