Leaking logs
Our new log home is in progress. The logs are up, the roof on, and the windows in. The logs are D-logs stacked with foam insulation/seal in between. We are having our first hard rain since construction began and we are seeing water seeping from the logs, especially around electric receptacles cut into the wall. The house is not *****ed. Supposedly, it does not have to be. Has anyone seen this? Any suggestions? Thanks in advance. |

Hi, Sorry to hear about your problem. If you could give me some more info., I may be able to help. You say your home is D-Log. What size D-Log do you have ? Are the electrical outlets cut into the log ? Check the outside of the logs in the area of the outlets and see if there are any checks in the logs. Let me know what you find.........................
