Curious...
I am wondering how many people read this that went to school in DS. I am trying to come up with a rough percentage of born and raised locals, schooled locals, and new locals. I am a 4th generation Drippinite, my children make 5. Also wondering if any of you new folks are aware of DS's rich history. I miss the scenic views that I saw growing up here, now all I see are rooftops. Also, if you have moved here or will soon, please don't complain about the deer. It's us people pushing them out of their homes, into our roads and flower beds. Please don't blame them for our invading their homes. |

AMEN!!! I was born and raised here too. Unfortunately, the family sold the old place and now I can't afford to buy it back. I would love to own my grandparents and our old place, but doubt that is even possible. The old barn was turned into an event center and the house is being rented out from what I hear. Maybe one day I'll hit the lottery or something so I can buy it back. What ever happened to buying or building a house to keep in the family? I guess the $$ is more important to some people. |
