One more Mr. Reeves. You will forgive me of course, as I am deciding who to vote for. You say that the federal government has no right to decide abortion issues and the federal government should not be running our lives. If this is a state issue as you indicate, then does state government have a right to dictate a womans choice. I agree that abortion is abhorrent and a vile practice. Nonetheless, is it the governments place whether it be federal or state to make such private decisions for people? Why is it so unpopular to say that you disagree with the practice of abortion but respect a persons right to make decisions on their own. I'm sorry but I just don't see the millions who militantly oppose abortion lining up to adopt children. If these women are made to have their babies isn't the government going to have to take care of most of them anyway? How many babies have Jerry Falwell, Pat Robertson, James Dobson, David Davis, and George Bush adopted? Hypocritical........maybe. |
