You are right Tennessee does need a conservative voice not affiliated with party. You were doing well until I read your view of the police action in Iraq.
Your view that we have a "war on terror" is not the words of a true conservative. Your words ensure you will vote to perpetuate premptive invasions of soveriegn nations justified in an Orwellian doublespeak fashion, one that has marred the last two presidencies so badly. A true conservative would understand that the US Constitution defines the War Powers and gives that duty to the Legislative Branch, not the Executive Branch. It specifically defines that an Act of War must be written and ratified. Congress is not given the permission to pass that responsibility off to any other branch of governance.
Try to remember that the Constitution is what you swear to uphold and defend. It and nothing else, is your mandate. Then sir, you would have my vote. |
