Doggy Diet

Hello,

My 11 month old TT has decided to become a fussy eater! We started her off on Hills dry food which she loved for about 6 months - at which point she started to turn her nose up!

We had been warned that this may happen and were advised to mix in a little wet food - we did this and for a while it was ok. Since then, we have tried numerous varieties but the same pattern, with her becoming 'bored', is happening more frequently (she just leaves it all day). We don't think its her appetite thats the problem as when it comes to a 'left-over' sunday roast she gobbles it all up!!

Any advice would be greatly appreciated as we are starting to worry that she isn't getting a balanced diet.

Many thanks!x
Laura

Re: Doggy Diet

My boy TT is the same a very fussy eater. However I do make sure I give them a bit of variety dry food, wet mix, tinned fish etc cause I sometimes think that if I had to eat the same thing everyday I would be a bit bored to. However this can upset stomachs a bit. But I dont know if you free feed but last year we adopted a rescue girl TT and she had a lot of food agression (at first)she wouldnt let kyba anywhere near his bowl and would eat the lot. We had to teach her to leave kybas and kyba had to learn fast to eat it when it was put down or he wasnt getting any. This seems to have given him the push he needed to eat a bit better. I would suggest putting his bowl down and then removing it after 30 mins, and see if this helps.
