Re: ear hair grooming

Its quite easy, but just pluck out the hair in the ears. Some TT's get loads of hair and it can get matted making it difficult to keep the ears clean and free of mites.
Just dip your fingers into a little talc powder (to get a grip, as the hair is silky)and gently pluck a couple of hairs out at a time. Do this frequently as part of puppies grooming and the ears will stay clean.

Dont forget to also clip the hair BETWEEN the pads on the feet!

I use thornit to pluck Harveys ears. Got to admit, a Tibetans ears are easier to do then my Shih Tzus - less hair

re: hair between pads
I read that to remove the hair is against the standard for tt's and also not a good idea as the hair protects the inside of pads.

Well if you let the hair inbetween the pads grow it can interfere with their walking and cause problems.
