Should I neuter my Male TT or not
Does anyone have an opinion on whether I should neuter my young TT? I would love some thoughts on this to help me decide. many thanks |

There is an interesting section on this in the 'Its me or the Dog' book by Victoria Stilwell - who has become our idol since getting a male TT!!! She recomends that you do... apparently it is much better for their health and they will live longer - and it will help with behaviour, not just his, but other dogs may see him as more aggressive when not snipped (this happened to my friends male cocker spaniel before he was snipped, other dogs attacked him and the vet said it was because he was giving off aggressive male vibes - once he was snipped this all stopped). We have decided to snip Emmet (our little fella), and feel confident that it is the best thing for him as we arent going to breed from him. I think it would be hard for him living his life having the desire to reproduce, but not actually be able to do it - would probably become more aggressive and not as happy. I would be interested to hear the other side of it though, as I havent met anyone who feels strongly about not snipping. Hope this helps!
