OK, IT'S MONDAY AND WE'RE STILL DEAD TO THE WORLD BUT HERE'S A FEW THANKS FOR ABOVE AND BEYOND TO EVERY ARTIST THAT PLAYED THE SHOW(YOU ARE THE BEST OF TEXAS IN MORE WAYS THAN JUST YOUR MUSIC) JAMES AND JULIE(THIS HAS BROUGHT US EVEN CLOSER), JIM BOB AND KATHY(FOR SEEING CLEARLY), DENISE(THE FRIEND EVERYONE WISHES TO HAVE) AND THE GIRLS, PABLO AND CINDA(THE BEST FESTIVAL COOKING AND BY THE WAY, JUST BEING SOME OF THE BEST HEARTED PEOPLE IN THE WORLD)MUTTLEY(YOU TOOK SUCH GOOD CARE OF ALL THE ENTERTAINERS) ROBIN AND SANDY, RONNIE AND LINDA, JOHN AND SISSY(YOU ALL KNOW), ROBERT, LYNN, ROBBYN(WALT, SUSAN AND BRANDON WERE JUST UNBELIEVABLE)SHERWIN(YOU'RE STILL MY TRUSTED FRIEND) LARRY JOE(YOU SURE DIDN'T HAVE TO MAN, BUT YOU ARE ONE HELL OF A GOOD GUY)TIM SHIRLEY(MY OTHER BROTHER FROM ANOTHER MOTHER)BRIAN(WHAT A GREAT NEW MOTORHOME! I PITY ANY ACT THAT TRIES TO FOLLOW THEM. ALL I CAN SAY, IS THAT I PROMISE YOU THAT IT'LL NEVER BE ME. SEEING HIS WIFE, BILLIE DANCING WITH HIS KIDS. HOW PROUD DARL WAS OF HIS FAMILY! EVERYBODY THERE GOT TO SEE WHY...... NOW, MOST OF ALL, BEFORE YOU ALL WE THANK OUR FAMILY. JASON YOU WERE THE HARDEST WORKER THERE AND I KNOW THAT YOU DID IT OUT OF PURE LOVE FOR YOUR MOM AND POP. BELIEVE ME, WE NOTICED AND SO DID A LOT OF OTHERS. CHRISTIE, WELL, THROUGH THIS YEAR OF HELL YOU'VE BEEN A ROCK FOR US. YOU TWO MAKE US SO VERY PROUD! OUR LITTLE FAMILY HAS LEARNED SOME HARD LESSONS ABOUT TRUE FRIENDS AND FAMILY IS ALL THAT GETS YOU THROUGH. I'M SURE THERE'S THINGS LEFT TO BE SAID AND AS LONG AS THERE IS TIME LEFT WE'LL TRY TO SAY THEM, SO FOR NOW, ME AND MINE ARE VERY HAPPY CAMPERS INDEED! |

WOW! What a weekend! Now I know what all the fuss is about. All you musicians that performed are awesome! What a group of talented individuals. I loved every minute of TMN #5 and I will NOT miss the next one. Anyway...on behalf of me and Ronnie, I want to thank all the musicians that donated a CD for us to send to our soldier in Iraq. As you know, he's from Texas and loves the music. He will be so happy when he opens his box full of 20 CDs! Thank ya'll so much![8-)[CoolYa] Linda |

Kenny and I had a blast. I know that we have not been around in a few years, but Bodie and Donna you outdid yourselves. TMN #5 was so awsome. hated to have missed the last 2 but I know tat there will be more to come. Keep up the good work. We Love you all and won't miss TMN #6 for anything. By the way... You have 2 more TMN junkies now. Our friends we brought with us this year, loved it and said that they plan on another coming again. Great Job to all who worked hard to make it happen. |

There were a lot of us guys at Tres Rios that were there by accident because of our jobs. I want you to know that we had the time of our lives. I will be a Bodie Powell fan forever. Your group was our favorite. Thanks for such a good time from all us working boys. |

A few personal favorites from TMNC #5: Skeeter's homemade wine/ judging chili/ breakfast, lunch, dinner at Cinda's/ Ruby Dee on stage with her dad Dan Shinedling/Kathy and Jim Bob Laird/an excellent sound system and quiet sound guys/swimming pool for the wife and kid/Mike Mancy playing until 2:30 a.m./Eleanor Whitmore's sweet fiddle/T-Roy Miller, T-Roy Miller, T-Roy Miller/little kids/big kids/old kids/the parade/winning stuff in the raffle/Billy Brent Malkus/John Dean's harmonica/Texas Tea/Bodie's 20 piece band/2,3, and 4 part harmony/Psyco Billy (thanks Tom)/Jewelry vendor Tobi Brown/Kenny & Anita/Linda, Ronnie, and Roscoe/tuba/better line dancers this year/Booger and Jason/ I could go on and on. Share your favorites! |

Booger dancing, Rosco Walley in the parade, You(my prez) with a sh#%eatin grin that'll last till next time, Julie telling how she heard all the giggling in Mike and Coby's room and when she opened the door(thinkin groupies)there was our "MARGIE", my kiddos working so hard to see that it all got done, How Casey has become a bonafide Texas Artist, Zeig in his jester's hat, a kiss from my T-Roy, Little China as our princess, Oh Yeah, the finest group of Texas Artists that I've ever heard in one place....but most of all the smiling beautiful faces of people that I love so so much!!!....Tears of sadness and tears of joy.....My God, we are SOOO Blessed! |

The bottom line is that Bodie said the show made money. If you can put on that quality of a show, keep it moving(James) have the best food and all the beer we could drink and still break even, then my hats off to every one of you people that worked so hard to put it together for the rest of us. I hope to continue to do the show every year. I'm glad that it worked out so that I could be there. I believe in TMN! I will support it as long as it is there for us musicians so Thanks for another great year. |

We are making plans for the Texas Music Nation Family Vacation in Luckenbach. Like I said before, you folks are the nicest people I've met since moving here and I want the wife to meet you all. |
