Life in NOHO: opinions? observations?

Hi,
I recently moved sort of nearby to Valley Glen, and I am doing a school project on the NOHO neighborhood because it seemed so interesting when I discovered it.

I was just wondering if anyone from the neighborhood has any thoughts on the changes that have taken place over the years, the pros and cons of living there, or anything else you would like to share.

I would very much appreciate it. Happy Halloween!

your best bet is to not ask anyone on this site--like 99% of the folks on here have an agenda...try going on the street-hit up starbucks, talk to people who are not politically or financially connected to NOHO-

only then will your project be real! good luck!

As with all Big Wigs coming into most vibe down to earth for "REAL" hip spots through out the various cities , most people finely see whats up and as they start checking it out and see it's all just another commercial looking city with fast chain foods which ultimately turns into just another "HooD",they slowly but surely start to move away! What is really left behind is one high rise apartment building after another and all is attaching the cool term "WE LIVE IN A LOFT".In the now and in the real END ,it's just going to be another "HOOD"!Which for some it feels like the real deal, but when you put down your trendie cup and really look around then you have smelled the real cup of coffee. Dont cha luv it? Hu Hu Haaaaaa Susan

Wow, "so thats why my friends and I see people running, skating or flying by as fast as they can on a bike because not to far behind them are those who really live in No Ho since the "before NO HO" are really gangs just waiting to pounce on the innocent people who bought into the so called safe and fun land of La La No Ho Land.I can hang and handle it.But we really do feel for those who have to keep moving, but at least they are some what hip to whats around them now that they finally came out of their so called safe place called "My Loft in No Ho.We all feel a little sad for they really did not know this area.
