Experience with Shimi at Sitvanit from an Australian visiting pilot

I would like to post a message to any visiting pilots to Israel, and/or Israelis thinking about learning to fly or do a tandem ride. I called Shimi at Sitvanit when I arrived in Israel with my wing on (business) trip to Israel, to ask him to show me the sites to fly in Israel. I have tried to do the same thing in many countries I have visited (Switzerland, Bali, USA) but Shimi takes the biscuit...he was very responsible, considerate, careful, helpful, willing and just a great host for me during my stay in Israel. He met me and we drove in tandem to Mount Tabor (a great inland site) where we flew together for an hour or so. He organised the logistics of recovery and even a delicious falafel dinner following our flights. I would recommend him 100% to anyone considering learning to fly in Israel and any visiting pilots. I also look forward to seeing him on my next visit and perhaps in Australia when he gets to visit here. I will post a few files to Shimi of flying sites in Australia (Apollo Bay on the coast and Bright in the interior), so he can post these in his video and still photo library (in Australia the distances are large, even though I have only managed a 40km flight so far). Kind regards, Peter Bick

Best Regards

Peter,

Best regards to you. Many thanks for the warm message you have posted.

As you can imagine, the feelings and the experiences are as good and as nice and mutual.

I hope to take a trip to Aussi in the future, I plan on it.

By the way I did not know at the time, but you over paid me. So I owe you a refund.

Thanks a lot
Looking forward to fly together again.

Shimi

P.S.
Warm regards from Dave Frank and Roman.
