The Blue Cat Cafe

Does anyone else think that the owner of the Blue Cat Cafe is an ill-natured, bad-tempered, cranky, old grump?

Re: The Blue Cat Cafe

Is it true that the blue cat is "strictly over 25's"?

Re: The Blue Cat Cafe

All that is said about Danny is true, however you have still gotta love him.

Middle Aged Customer(MAC): 'this wine tastes like it has been corked'
Danny: "sips" 'no it always tastes like that'
(MAC): 'Could i perhaps have another drink'
Danny: 'harumph... well i supose, what do you want'

Re: The Blue Cat Cafe

Danny is the owner of the cat. He is indeed a miserly, miserable old git who is proud of his status as such.

I like to wind Danny up by ringing the blue cat landline telephone from my mobile whilst he is at his busiest then hanging up when he answers. 'Hello, Hello, Hello..........Ooodles of fun.

Comedy Night

NEW MONTHLY COMEDY NIGHT IN HEATON MOOR! Comedy is returning to The Blue Cat with a new promoter, a new night of the month, a new name and ssome excellent pro comics! 'The Dirty ***** Comedy Club' will be at the Blue Cat Cafe on the first Sunday of the month with our first show being on Sun 2nd September. We ve got some top comedians lined up, most of whom you can easily pay over twelve quid to see in Manchester. We re starting at 7.30 and aim to finish off for around ten meaning you wont be late for work on monday1 priced at a fiver on the door we expect things to take off and look forward to seeing you down there.

Comedians for Sun 2nd Sept
TONY BURGESS cut his comedy teeth during the Madchester days. While we were shaking our thangs down at The Hacienda Tony was touring the country developing tightly written gags and an instantly winning stage persona. Ever heard a comic doing gags about scallies? Tony invented em. One of the most copied comics in the business NO ONE has come close to recreating the mirthful magic of The Burgess.

Recently taking time off live work for his many TV writing commitments he also popped up in 'Ideal' as stoner pirate radio DJ 'Troy FM' and has written for many of the big name comedians in the UK. Telly's loss is the live comedy lovers gain and, secretly, all at The Dirty ***** are delighted to see Tony back behind a mic!

Also on the bill is unemployed Geordie shipyard worker Mick Sergeant, a man with more than one mental health issue and fast becoming a cult anti-hero. Character comedy at it s funniest.

Plus compere and guest act!
