Age of Apocalypse
I never realy found the AoA to be as dark as i expected but then that could be me. I did like the Omega and it is one of the altime greatest single issue comics ever. Is this a common view of the AoA saga? like i havent read them all and wondering if its worth getting the lattest complete issue. |

I loved AoA an dhave each issue, i'd have to say no. Appart from the Xman series i thought it was pretty dark (not Ladydeath dark but Marvel dark). I mean i did like Xman but i dont think Forge and his crew were realy that tough, not like Astonishing. but yeah Alpha and Omega are AWESOME! |

Well Caenman obviously loves it... except the 10th anaversery incase i havent made that clear lol. but yeah i think it was pretty dark, the kullings the piles of rotting corpses... Maybe with the costumes which many were just as bright as reguar continuity. |

Mmm oh yeah... thats a good point those bright colours are somewhat odd. Gambit and the Xternals were particularly bright, well Guildo definatly, and i think with all the Shi'ar and Imperial foces in their regular outfits... but i guess they shouldnt change just cause Earth did. But Strongguy was very regular costume very bright and primary. |
Wild Child

I think the AoA is as dark as Marvel gets. The variant characterisation like in Sabertooth and Wildchild just kicked ass. Exodus was another... i think that AoA just wasnt ment to be dark but a juxtapostion of the regular mavelverse. Exodus was a good example of this where regularly he is extream and crazy, in AoA he is sencitive and open. And then there is Beast who has absolutly no ethics at all. |

Hey, i did mention this in another thread but thought it should continue here... i'v jsut read Chronicals #1 and thougth it was geat background to the AoA but left me with some Questions... 1 what happened to the High Evolutionary? and the other New Humans - Bova is the only one there. 2 it states that Nemesis is appocalypse's son, not just adopted or anything... has this been confermed adn do we know anything bout the mother???

as far as we know Nemesis is the real son of Apocalypse... though never clear, some times it does seem like its a self proclamation. And being that Apocalypse is imortal how can he have an hair? We dont know if Holocaust is imortal himself, Hyperion killed him so who knows. Magneto got very close to killing him - and if Nate was made to kill Apocalypse how come he has so much trouble with Holocaust??? As for the High Evolutionary he is never mentioned - maybe he just took off to that alternate Earth he uses for his experiments. With Apocalypse on the loose destroying the world, it doesnt seem there was much left for him to work with. Plus Sinister would have been too much compatition for him

Hey i just found this site - I'm such a massive fan of the AoA. Yeah I was hoping that the MIA's would end up some where. I dont really understand why just cause they are MIA that they left them out of the HandBook??? And there was that poster at the end of one of the issues of the Amazing team but not Exodus! WTF? Not to mention Xman that they totaly pretend he never existed! Can i get a Hell Yeah!

Yeah, I would have liked to have seen the confrontation between Magneto and HighEvolutionary. Bova was in Chronicals so he was obviously up to something at some point... |
