Re: East Fife 0 Spartans 2

Quite Poor.

Last season I thought Craig O'Reily was lazy, and simply didn't put in the effort, and thats why he didn't get anything out of it. But today, he actually did put in effort, and still got nothing. Perhaps time for him to move on in my opinion.

Stanic was good and think he could shine for us this season. Nugent was good aswell, he likes to get forward which I like.Campbell was impressive, just doesn't have a finish.

And another thing. WTF were the SFL thinking when they chose Annan. Spartans could have probably won the league in their first season!(well....)

However, just a friendly, but we have to bear in mind that our two main strikers are on holiday, as is our manager.

But still, roll on the new season!

Better to have a bad game now rather than the start of the Season..

Look on the bright side, all the signings look like they can hold there own in our team and we will definitley put a challenge on the Second Division next season .

Friendlies mean nothing. All about building match fitness. We'll be good for the start of the season, you wait and see.

Bayview - the season is barely in the embryonic stage and the excuses are being made already. Am sure I'll be reading many of a similar nature as the season progresses.

It might have helped Craig O'Reilly if just occasionally another East Fife player got into the penalty box.I know it was just a glorified training exercise but it was quite disconcerting to see such a woeful display.

Re: East Fife 0 Spartans 2

But that's what the pre-season friendlies are all about - getting the guys match fit, trying different things, players in different positions...

It looked all rather turgid yesterday but will have been helpful for DB in his plans for the coming season.

Let's no' judge him or the players until we've had a chance tae get a few competitive matches under our belts....

We had a great team last season and the new players will only add to that so let's no' get too upset before they've had a chance to show us what they've got....

Will there be more of us there on Wednesday to get behind the boys....?
