Loughgall Match Report

From the Sunday Post: East Fife ended their pre-season tour of Northern Ireland with a victory won thanks to a defensive mix up. The decider came after 16 minutes. Alan Murphy tried to head back to goalkeeper Marc Robinson as the 'keeper moved forward, but the ball flew past him and was sent home by Paul McManus. Already, McManus had been off target with a chance when Paul Walker's forward pass was driven towards the goal. Loughgall's Dean Smith sent a 25 yard effort just past the post as the home side showed they could compete. Then, 21 minutes after the break, McManus was in action again, collecting the ball on the left and chipping Robinson - only to hit the side netting. In the final five minutes, Loughgall could have equalised, but 'keeper Willie McCulloch saved well from Paul Baron, whose deep cross almost crept in at the back post.

Re: Loughgall Match Report

Just noticed that this report is almost identical to the report on the Loughgall web site, which has been posted elsewhere.
