Irish Sighs

Just back from a fantastic trip to N Ireland where all the lads and lassies were in great form, making it a great few days. One concern however was the esteemed TOCs total pre-occupation with the cost of alcoholic beveridges.(Apparently it cost £6.60 for a half Magners and a vodka and coke in the Percy French bar!)It got to the stage he was spoiling everyones enjoyment with his pricewatching.I wish he could have just enjoyed himself. It was great also to see Mike Flett over there after his disgraceful character assassination on this forum during the closed season.I have to say though that the beard, dark glasses and wheelchair really didn`t suit him. Finally a big thank you once again to Cazza for bringing over my sons new strip on friday, yer a wee gem!

Re: Irish Sighs

Got back last night and this morning read the attack by Cultured Tourist. First of all what happens on tour doesn't stay on tour with me. I will let you know exactly what happened and who disgraced themselves. That will be followed by some general gossip.
THE FERRY INCIDENTS - Don't know, wasn't on the ferry.
INCIDENTS IN HOTEL - Don't know,wasn't there.
UNSAVOURY FAN BEHAVIOUR - Don't know, didn't see any.
I will not be silenced. Anything I have missed Anon will report.

Cultured Tourist is completely wrong. I arrived in Ireland last Wednesday, sussed out the drink prices then avoided buying a round. Even Mr and Mrs JT pretending their daughter had been left on the bus didn't get me to the bar first.

Mike Flett and Davie Robertson were so worried about sectarian violence at the Saturday game they dyed their tongues blue.

Arrived at Belfast Airport and after getting a car the person I asked for directions was Polish.
Had a day in Belfast, stopped someone for directions and she was Polish. Visited Dublin and you guessed it - asked directions from a Pole. The Irish know how to make you feel at home.

Met Mrs Cultured Tourist and children. She is very nice and good fun. What is she thinking about - could do so much better.

I think a few apologies are due to Anon. Reading that we have signed Stevie Crawford reminded me that at the beginning of the season he forecast "we will sign somebody"

Re: Irish Sighs

Great to see all the East Fife fans enjoying themselves on saturday, apart from the John Hurt look-a-like who went around everyone showing them a receipt for a round he had bought at lunchtime in the Newcastle Polish Club.
