Re: crawford woo hoo

Don't want to put a damper on our success but i would like to know how many of a squad do we have now and could a list be be known - i would have thought that the oficial web site should keep us up to date? Dve M keeps fans updated on this site and well done to him but should this not be on the official first.
i have a concern - as far as we are-told all the players wages are sponsered. by whom? we are contracting players on wages that are not being paid paid by the club - which will reflect in the accounts so the club have no problem finacially if the sponser retracts - but where does that leave the club

Re: crawford woo hoo

It is without doubt that your clubs outgoings vastly outweigh your incomings even if your were to average 1000 at your home games.

That is unsustainable in the medium to longer term as we know only too well.

Yes, Wullie may bankroll you in the shorter term but at very best you will become a middle of the road second division side.

And then you will drop back to the basement of Scottish football where you belong.

It's fascinating that the basement is exactly where you have been heading since Gray withdrew his support from your club, Levenrover. Do have fun on your journey.

..as opposed to the cesspit called Kirkcaldy where Raith Rovers belong.

You're a worried boy aren't you LR? Such negativity. Let us worry about East Fife if you please. I would be more concerned about your own club if I were you. Still in Division 2, a now part-time club with little or no immediate prospects of improving, a 10,000 seat stadium that you will never fill, don't own and is expensive to maintain. I think supporters of East Fife have more to look forward to than those of Raith Rovers right now don't you think?

A bit rich saying we have a 10,000 seat stadium that we can`t fill when you can`t fill your pishy wee stadium. The only chance of that happening is when Raith come calling

Re: crawford woo hoo

Gray did not "withdraw his support". He was 'ushered out' after making a complete balls up with our finances and almost bankrupting the club. He made promises, signed players we couldnt afford and performed work on the stadium that wasnt needed... sound similar...

I hope that this is not the case with you guys - but he did screw us up finacialy, and I do question the long term viability of your squad. From talking to a few people, it does seem like he is banking on promotion this season, I cant see you having so many full time players on multi-year contracts being favourable if you dont go up this season.

On a side not, I am looking forward to this season. i was gutted when we didnt get up to the first - but I am now relishing some of the games, especialythe EF games. Good luck guys, an we will see you on the pich quite soon!

Re: crawford woo hoo

I know for a fact that the Rovers were trying to get a local business to foot Craws wages for a season in a similar way that they done Marvin Andrews and like the deal Stevie was on at the Pars. Willie Gray had no intention of signing another striker however when he got word of the Rovers were set to sign him he phoned his agent and done the deal. Great to see the Rovers put in their place as Fifes 3rd team.

Re: crawford woo hoo

You EF guys are having a laugh, we will see the crowd as the mighty fife unfurl the flag, i predict a crowd of 550 at a push it certainly will not be over a 1000.
And given the size of your squad and the latest signings it is the road to financial ruin under the chairmanship of Mr Gray..........
