Burn Ban
Has anyone heard if they are going to reinstate the burn ban? I know Collin County has already done this, but I have not heard if anyone has made this move.

Here is what I could dig up. The following Counties are under a burn ban. - Wise, Denton, Collin, Hunt, Parker, Tarrant, Dallas, Rockwall, Kaufmann, Van Zandt, Johnnson, Ellis, Navarro. - Most of the bans will be in force for 90 days or until the region experiences significant rainfall. Burn bans do not prohibit pyrotechnic fireworks, although each county has different laws governing the use of pyrotechnics. The bans limit or restrict outdoor burning, including campfires and trash. Violators of the bans could face fines.

Planning on starting some fires? I'm not much of a pyro, so this doesn't really affect me much. |

Actually Scout, I do not plan on starting any fires, but for those that plan to burn brush, etc. I would just like them to be aware. Last year, the burn ban was lifted and within a week my neighbor, not watching what he was doing, ended up burning about 2 1/2 acres of my hay. Talk about scary. |
