Salutations and a question

Greetings all, I think that what your doing here is great. I am getting up there in age(37) and am looking for alternative ways to explore life and what it has to offer. Too old to be looking over my shoulder all the time. I will be sending for my sample some time later this week along with a small donation to help you with the expenses. Thank you for that.

Now for my question, my wife is growing a small herb garden and pointed out to me that she has some salvia already growing. It is called "Common sage-Salvia comun", is this able to be used in the same way as "salvia" is? Thanks for any responses and have a great day!

Re: Salutations and a question

There are about 2000 varieties of SALVIA, but only one Salvia DIVINORUM. This is the only species of the plant that is absolutely known to be psychoactive... though some have reported Salvia Splendens may also be -- it wasn't for ME, but who knows?

You're not likely to find viable Salvia Divinorum seeds available, nor the plant at your local Home Depot. I've bought three plants in the past five years and killed them all off in short order; it's a fairly tender plant, and rather hard to keep alive. While a number of folks think it would be preferable to grow it, remember that it only produces "1X" leaves. You can easily pick up an ounce of plain leaf online and make 5 grams of good "5X" -- which will last a long long time... all you need is some isopropyl alcohol -- check the FORUM here for detailed information on how to do it.
