BASIC JSOTS SALVIA FAQ PART 1
I've written this for folks who have visited the JSOTS site for perhaps the first time and/or are sort of wondering what the Salvia experience is all about, or, have posted some sort of frequently asked question. If YOU still have any other questions after reading this, don't hesitate to ask!
WHAT DO I NEED TO KNOW?
First things first: Salvia is NOT for kids. Who ELSE shouldn't use Salvia? It isn't advisable for those who are mentally or emotionally fragile/unstable, pregnant women, or anyone with other known medical/psychological problems. If you even SUSPECT you'd have a problem with Salvia -- DON'T TRY IT! It DOES have a unique and somewhat lingering fragrance when burned. Do not engage in any other legal/quasi-legal/illegal drug activity for at least 8 hours prior for best results. The most reasonable way to enjoy the enchantments of Salvia is with a sensitive companion, while you're laying flat on your back -- NOT while trying to drive, walk, use explosives, or needing do anything particularly complicated for a while. It helps to relax. A little meditation or some type of ceremony beforehand is a nice touch, too.
HOW POTENT IS SALVIA?
It is, by weight, THE MOST POTENT natural entheogen ("teaching plant") on the entire planet -- requiring only micrograms of the active component to result in a pretty intense experience when smoked in a bong or waterpipe. It's not going to be very effective if smoked in a joint. Check my site for directions on how to make a cheap bong if you don't have one already.
WHAT IS THE LEGAL STATUS OF SALVIA?
Salvia will not show up on any current drug screen tests. It is a legal and unscheduled natural herb everywhere in the world EXCEPT Australia, Denmark, Finland, Italy, and South Korea... so no samples will be sent to those countries. I THINK there's some type of prohibition to sending it to Israel and maybe by the time you read this some other places, so rather than take a chance, if I'm not reasonably sure it's legal where you are -- I won't send you any. The States of Louisiana, Missouri, and Delaware are also off-limits... with probably more to come.
WHAT MAKES SALVIA SO UNIQUE?
What potentially can you "get" out of it? Well, explain what falling and being in love is like to someone who's not experienced it... or what the color 'blue' is to a blind person. You can allude to different things, but ultimately YOU HAVE TO HAVE EXPERIENCED IT -- to have BEEN THERE, yourself, to really KNOW. That's what Salvia is like. Once you know, you know... and only then can you really relate to others who have also been through it. If you're ever going to find out for sure, you simply have to at least Just Say Once.
WHERE CAN I FIND OUT MORE ABOUT SALVIA?
Your best bet is to do a good amount of research on Salvia BEFORE you make a decision -- the more you 'do your homework' ahead of time, the better off you'll be, even if you decide that Salvia ISN'T for you.
That's OK, too! If you DO think you really have a grip on what it's all about, and want to give it a try, I'll be happy to help. WHAT ARE THE EFFECTS OF USING SALVIA?
Usually, the experience is pretty short in real-world time, perhaps 20 minutes or less (perhaps half that long), although it may SEEM like 20 lifetimes.
There's an impossible-to-explain space and time to Salvia that's unique, and it will take you by surprise and amaze you beyond all expectations irregardless/no matter whatever you could have imagined. Indeed, it is "Out Of This World". Salvia is not used for 'fun'... it's been called an "existential ordeal" -- and if you have no idea of what that may mean, it's probably not something you want to try. Don't ask for my explanations. I'm still trying to learn... myself. Ahem. Many people report a warm 'afterglow' feeling lasting anywhere from a couple hours to a couple days after a Salvia experience. Furthermore, it is common to have a 'reverse tolerance' effect -- in other words, the more you've used it, the LESS you subsequently need for the same results!

Partaking of Salvia rewards a respectfull attitude. Those who think it is a 'substitute' for pot, or 'like' mushrooms, and think it'll be a cool 'high' or 'buzz' will be sorely disappointed. It may scare you in a big, big way if you misuse it, or even if you don't -- the disassociative nature of the Salvia experience isn't for the timid or faint of heart. Those who are looking for spiritual enlightenment and use Salvia with a reverent appreciation may find understanding and doors of perception opened for them far beyond their wildest imaginations. As with anything of this nature, however, as the old saying goes --"Your Mileage May Vary".
HOW CAN I GET SOME?
Basicly, what I do on the site is simply provide information so people like you can decide if they want to "Just Say Once To Salvia" (or not). If they do, I offer them a small sample to try out and 'see' for themselves what they will. It's not for everyone, but so far I've sent out thousands of samples... so... how about YOU? for compleate information on how to do this. You are (of course) encouraged (but not required) to send ANY amount of contribution/donation that YOU feel is appropriate. The more you offer, the more -I- do!
WHAT IF I LIVE OUTSIDE THE USA?
People who DO live in the U.S are asked to send, as a minimum, return postage (37 cent stamp) or a self-addressed stamped envelope to get a sample (at least 1 gram) of plain leaf. Those (in the USA) who send a minimum $4 donation get the plain leaf, some Salvia extract (at least 5X), a selection of some viable entheogenic seeds (such as opium poppy, etc), and perhaps some other odds and ends... depending on what I've got on hand. If you live any place other than the U.S., here's the deal: Since it costs me almost $1 just to SEND you a sample (postage, envelope, ziplock baggies, etc) I ask that you provide a $5 donation to help cover my expenses. For this, you will get all the items listed above that people in the U.S. get for a $4 donation. If you can't afford this much, or find the U.S. CURRENCY -- no coins, please -- then a $2 donation will be accepted for a sample of the plain leaf ONLY. It's my intention to share Salvia with as many people all over the world as I can, but I depend on contributions to keep things going. I do NOT send samples anywhere it is illegal to do so. I don't have any Salvia plants (or seeds) to offer, sorry.
THIS SOUNDS PRETTY GOOD... ARE YOU LEGIT??
In a word: YES. Please don't ask me to do anything underhanded/sneaky/illegal to get a sample delivered --and I won't ask YOU to, either. Envelopes are marked with nothing more than our addresses and names on the outside. It is packaged in such a way as not to arouse any undue suspicions in a first class envelope. Larger samples come in plain 6" x 9"
envelopes. To date, Post Office hasn't advised me how long it takes for a sample to get to your house (where ever you may live). Sorry; I just don't know. I will generally send you a confirmation email once I've put it in my mailbox -- after that, it's out of my hands and control.
WHAT'S THIS I HEAR ABOUT NEEDING A "SITTER"?
If you expect to partake of this sacred herb with a friend/spouse, be sure to have them take a look at the website, or, at least give them a thorough briefing of what to potentially expect. ALWAYS try to have a 'sitter' the first time, someone who will agree to JUST SIT THERE with you, and not move around or speak for the period of time you're visiting SalviaSpace. The experience CAN BE VERY DISORIENTATING, and it's strongly recommended that you have someone close by to help calm you down should you feel too "lost". Besides, you'll want to have someone to talk to afterwards and try to explain to them everything that happened -- trust me!
