Growing Salvia Divinorum.

Growing Salvia Divinorum

Lets start off by saying this info is what I experinced with the plant from a cutting and not by seed since your plant or the plant you will get wil most likly be a clone from another.

WHAT YOU NEED.

1. A larg pot abot 12inch.

2. A soft grow light 40W will be fine.

3. PASHENTS!!

4. love :)

5. A dark rich soil.

6. fish food, yes fish food.

7. a spry botle for misting the leaves.

WHAT YOU DON'T NEED.

1. A humid climet.

2. A green house

3. A green thumb

4. alot of light, this plant can grow in any part of your house that has some sort of light in it.

First once you get your plant keep it away from strong sunlight and from a window why? becouse your new plant will need to rest for a few days before you start to give it light. after three days put the plants under a soft grow light for five hours a day and mist the leaves, I use a 40W bolb you will not see any groth for a few weeks becouse the plant needs to ajust to your climet, you may see leaves fall off now and then and thats fine just save them in a little bag after you fully dry it. if you see brown spots on the edge of the leaves you need to mist it more and make shure the soil is moist!..now keep this up for about 2 months and you should see a BOOM in groth now.

Now its time for the fish food, take 2L of water and mix a 1/2 cup of the fish food flakes into it
let it sit for about 15 mins then stir it up and dumb it all into your pot, dont worry about having to mush water in your pot as long as you have drain holes on the bottum.
more and more leaves will fall off even the new ones and to my understanding that is becouse the new ones that replace them are more more evolved to suit your home, when you see about 10 new hand sized leaves it is safe to place the plant in the window and soke up the sun, keep misting it twice a day and she should grow grow grow!!! THATS IT GET GROWING and never take any leaves off it untill she has 10 or more on her.

Making cuttings from Salvia Divinorum

Hello Friends, Lets talk about how you can cultivate your plant by making a cutting from your Healthy Salvia Divinorum plant. The plant you see me holding in the post (yes that’s me ) I took 2 cuttings from that plant and all 2 lived. First off you will need a sharp clean knife to cut the parts you want to replant. You will also need a pot with rich dark soil to plant them into, or a glass of clean spring or filtered water, both methods work well and I did one for each. Ok got your clean knife? good, now cut your plant just above a knot and not on one. Right ofter you do this place that cutting in your glass of water making shure some of the stem is in that water, now I never coverd my plant with a plastic bag or anything that would keep the leaves wet but it wouldn’t hurt to do so.

Mist mist mist!!! KEEP YOUR PLANT WELL MISTED, even if you have some sort of clear dome over yout plant to keep the humidity up. Ok you did a cutting in the next half hour you will see that cutting wilt fall over and almost dead!! Don’t worry I though I killed my babe but after 2 days it was back to its old salf  You will have lost a leaf or two but just save them and dry them out. Never waste what she gives up.

Placing a new cutting in soil is just as easy no matter what you hear this plant is EASY AS PIE!!.. if you don’t bake its as easy as drinking a pop. And about as long too ..

Same as before take a cutting from your plant and just stick it into the soil that’s it!! Make shure your soil is really wet before hand though. Cover with a glass or plastic dome or tent to keep the moisture in, you have to cover this one up because your soil can dry out fast and you need it to be wet all the time. Your plant will wilt and fall over but it will come back in a few days just mist the hell out of it each day. It will take about 2 weeks before you see roots forming and they will take off then and you can replant them in bigger pots when you think they are ready  2 weeks! From one plant came 2,

I also did the soil cutting with just a small cutting well I clipped a half inch peace of the first cutting to see if it would grow, and it did, it had no leafs just stem and a small one at that I put it in the soil and in 2 weeks with the other 2 cutting it started to grow a new arm and roots, its doing well right now I will have pics to post to show you as soon as I can,

So Tim if you read this I will email them to you soon ..

Thanks and good luck.

Re: Growing Salvia Divinorum.

Ok ppl,, I just wanted to add here that if you wana salvia plant to look like a salvia plant and you live in Canada just leave the plant outside all summer and let the rain fall down on it. I never watered this plant and it was a cutting I did that was just stem! and a inch tall.. 2 months in the PART SUN and rian falls and its bigger then any other plants!! cool eh. the leaves look perfect and BIG so dont worry about it being too cold at night for it, had a few night when it was 7-C out and it didnt hurt it so get at it.
