What type of Music goes good with salvia

Most places say silence is best, but does any type of music work well with salvia divinorum?

I have a vast collection of music (country, rap, techno/electronic, rock, jazz, classical, ambient, brainwave stuff(buzzes that supposedly help induce out of body experiences, never succeeded with me), to just straight noise... and anything else I probably have it/

so does anyone have a type of music or a band that they listen to while smoking salvia?

Re: What type of Music goes good with salvia

RICHARD'S question has been addressed other places previously on this site, but it bears answering again. It's been asked Frequently Enough to probably best be added to the FAQ page, but for now -- here's what I'd have to say...

SalviaSpace is a real 'delicate' place; if you've 'been there', you know what I mean. If not, here's The Deal: You'll find BeSageMent happens most intensely when you're in a situation where you're not having ANY outside stimulus distract you. That's as simple as I know how to say it.

If you have your hands on your stomach when you're laying there after smoking, you'll be distracted. If you feel any kind of constriction in your clothing, same thing. And if you sense light (through your closed eyes) or hear even a clock ticking in the background, or are chewing gum or smell dinner cooking -- ALL those things can throw things off for you in a BIG WAY. To get the MOST of your Salvia experience, you'll need to be prepare yourself for what Salvia does SO VERY WELL -- and that is to bring on a disassociative state of mind. That means when it hits, YOU'LL NOT EVEN BE AWARE OF YOUR BODY!! Sound kinda scarey? Oh yeah... here to tell you... when it "happens" -- it's nothing like you'll have ever experienced before... and IT CAN BE REAL UNSETTLING.

POOF!! There goes your ego! WHAM!! Your body has simply ceased to exist as you've known it! ZAP!! Even the room you were in just a moment ago IS NO LONGER AROUND YOU... does this sound like FUN??!

Ahhh... those who've just thought to themselves -- "That TIM guy is CRAZY! I don't wanna have that kind of situation happen to ME!" are welcome to NOT Just Say Once, and that's perfectly fine. Salvia IS NOT everyone's idea of "a good time".

On the other hand, some folks may be thinking "Hmmmm... now THAT sounds interesting! I wonder where I could go, what I could do, and the things I could learn from having all that stuff happen... if I could be somehow transported out of my usual notions of 'consensual reality' (??!) and into a whole new dimension of existance." For THOSE people, Salvia has the potential to open up whole new vistas on the Universe... and THAT'S what you NEED to be looking forward to if you want to give it a try. The Key here is: Are you willing to -- CAN YOU -- simply SURRENDER TO THE UNKNOWN? It takes courage. It takes ahhhh... a sense of adventure and a lot of willingness to face one's personal demons, maybe... but IMHO it's WORTH THE CHANCE.

Re: What type of Music goes good with salvia

My first time I reached into the past and put on some Ravi Shankar (Indian Sitar music). But I must say, it got pretty intense and I felt controlled by each bending note.

The second time I listened to some New Age music by Dean Evenson and his reverberating flute was heavenly. I "understood" what the music was "saying".

Another time I had some classical music on. When I heard the piano I was transported into the past to my mothers house. We had a piano growing up and there I was next to it.

But I agree that Sally is best experienced with no stimulus and I totally understand the "restrictive clothing" comment. I felt that I was being sliced into with a hot knife but it turned out to be a seam in my shirt that I was laying on. Music and such tends to keep you grounded to this world and cause the "stretching reality" effect (as I call it). Like your mind is in two places at the same time.
