david-just checking to see if there is any new info on joseph french (father of william cray french). last that i have is that joseph french married mary cray whose father was william cray and mother was mary gignilliat. i know that cray and gignilliat were married in south carolina and some sources suggest that joseph and mary cray were married there also. do you think that prior to coming to nc they resided in sc? perhaps this is old info to you but i'm trying to fill in some blanks. any help would be appreciated.
