The SCORPION pressure-hull collapse acoustic signal was detected by Columbia University Hydroacoustic Station Canaries single hydrophone A located at a depth of 3960-feet at 28-36-48.8N, 18-01-02.1W, just off the west coast of La Palma Island.

That sensor was not an integrated component of the Sound Surveillance System, Atlantic. It was basically a scientific research station.

Is this time series now unclassified? Can it be viewed?

I got the tape as unclassified in 2008 from Dan McMillin who worked for Bell Labs in 1968 and was deeply involved in the SCORPION event.

I sent the tape to the Office of Naval Intelligence in Oct 2009 in anticipation of making a return trip there in Nov; however, health issues intervened and I never went back.

You should be able to get a copy of that tape by making a freedom-of-information request to ONI; however, I think it probable they have marked it classified.

Still, it may be worth a try. You can note that they received it from me as UNCLASSIFIED. To deny a request, they are required to prove that disclosure of the info will be damaging to US defense interests or to foreign relations, and that would be very difficult to do.
