My guess is that you already know why they don't schedule DH'ers anymore.
They have 81 home games and they do their very best to get 81 gates. They gotta pay those players

Back in the 60s before kids,Joanie & I would get up around 10 AM on a Sun.Lets go see the Yanks play 2.Cost us $2.25 each then we would sneak down to the field boxes.1st game at 1PM,we wouldnt get home til 7 or 8.Yanks werent too good back then & would only get 20,000 for a DH.It was still great tho.

This could be a pretty cool compromise to the 162 games season. Instead of shortening the amount of games, we could shorten the whole season by requiring say, 5 DH's per year. Anyway, that's lala land I know, especially knowing Safeco's roof cost of more than 150mm will ensure they play all 81 games separately. Unless it doesn't work, and then you, like Dick, can say you've seen a double header at Safeco :)
