statue

My Friends,

I have a good news: a statue of Lt. Columbo erected in Hungary.

http://www.szeretlekmagyarorszag.hu/megnezhetitek-columbo-szobrat/

rough translation:

You can see the sculpture of Columbo

The statue of the actor Peter Falk (died in 2011), already has been erected on the beginning of the Miksa Falk street, Budapest. Notedly not personally his, but Lt Columbo's - meanwhile the figure of Columbo is inseparable from Peter Falk. There is Dog too, sitting at the feet of his owner.

Maybe the actor had hungarian ancestors, but there is no evidence that Peter Falk would have been Miksa Falk's relative.

The sculpture was created by Géza Fekete, priced about 14 million HUF ~ 60.000 U$.

Re: statue

Looks good. I wonder if there are Columbo statues anywhere else in the world?
