A Bird In The Hand

You know, I really enjoyed this episode. Tyne Daly did a wonderful portrayal of "Dolores" And ONLY Columbo would figure out that the clock in Harold's place was set for PM instead of AM...brilliant. Other notes that require honorable mention: Columbo noticing the "dew" on the hood of the car and of course the hat with the "freshly cut hairs." Got to admit, there were several plots and sub-plots to this episode but I really enjoyed it.

Re: A Bird In The Hand

Never saw the episode (we snuffed our cable guy years ago), but after reviewing the website synopsis on it, it appears that this one was produced before Daly began competing with Pikes Peak!

Re: A Bird In The Hand

The episode was written by Jackson Gillis, one of Columbo's original writers (e.g. Suitable For Framing, Requiem for a Falling Star). He also wrote for the original Perry Mason series, the first season of which comes to DVD in July, and later for Murder, She Wrote. No wonder this is a solid episode.
