Away From The Numbers

All good things come to an end. Or so they say. AFTN has been around since 1989, first as a fanzine and then making the jump to a website and forum in 2003. We've been through the many ups and down at East Fife in those 12 years but policing the forum has become a giant pain in the ass in recent years. As such, we made the decision not to renew it when it expired.

The forum is no more and will remain as a locked archive until it is eventually deleted by the host. We're looking in to try to save some of the content as an archive.

This is not the end of AFTN though. The site will continue and will be revamped and return in its full glory for the start of the 2016/17 season. Maybe even sooner. There will be a comment sections and possibly even a new, registered forum. Check our Twitter (@aftnwebsite) for all the latest info and we'll also post in on the EFFC memories Facebook page.

Until then, have a last browse here, thanks for all your support over the years, and 'Mon the Fife.

He did well to run off the pitch to be subbed with a broken leg!! Looked hamstring esque

Re: campbell injury?

In my professional opinion I suspect a fracture of the 3rd and 4th metatarsils and possible break just below the knee. Of course being a Fife player and being made of hardy stuff it was possible for the man to limp of the pitch unaided as he did not want to look a wimp in front of the home support.

Re: campbell injury?

A broken leg confirmed by the player himself. A new centre half is needed pronto.

Re: campbell injury?

Steven Campbell has broken his leg.
It is the same one as he broke whilst playing in Australia but this break is a bit lower down.
He has an appointment with the specialist on Thursday so we will see what happens after that.

Re: campbell injury?

That's hellish news. Quality player.

Re: campbell injury?

This is terrible news for us and the lad himself,6 to 8 weeks according to courier so hopefully he'll be back as good as before.
All the best stevie and we'll see you back soon

The way the weather has been recently he'll only miss about 2 games then.

Re: campbell injury?

Steven visited the Specialist yesterday to be told it was a straight forward break to his fibula, and the Doctor is predicting a complete recovery.
He will be 6 weeks in plaster before starting training.

Some consolation then.
Haste ye back Steve.
