Away From The Numbers

All good things come to an end. Or so they say. AFTN has been around since 1989, first as a fanzine and then making the jump to a website and forum in 2003. We've been through the many ups and down at East Fife in those 12 years but policing the forum has become a giant pain in the ass in recent years. As such, we made the decision not to renew it when it expired.

The forum is no more and will remain as a locked archive until it is eventually deleted by the host. We're looking in to try to save some of the content as an archive.

This is not the end of AFTN though. The site will continue and will be revamped and return in its full glory for the start of the 2016/17 season. Maybe even sooner. There will be a comment sections and possibly even a new, registered forum. Check our Twitter (@aftnwebsite) for all the latest info and we'll also post in on the EFFC memories Facebook page.

Until then, have a last browse here, thanks for all your support over the years, and 'Mon the Fife.

Where is Mr East Fife?

Is Jay injured? doesnt seem the same team without our Mr East Fife! has Robbo took a dislike to Jay as well as Cargie and Lloyd (for a while)

Re: Where is Mr East Fife?

Learning how to control a fitba...!?!?!

Re: Where is Mr East Fife?

zzzz.

Re: Where is Mr East Fife?

Well in that case by all accounts he isnt on his own then !!!!!

Re: Where is Mr East Fife?

Jay will be back. It's like having a second captain on the bench. I think the Smart/ Campbell partnership was working well before Stevie's injury. Jay took a sore one at Livi and subsequently strained his hamstring. Since then the defence has tightened up and Robbo appears to be a man who doesn't tinker unnecessarily with the team hence the reason wee Lloydie had to wait for so long for a start.

Thought this thread was going to be about The Russian or Exile who both seem to have vanished.

Re: Where is Mr East Fife?

That boy from luton calls himself filthy mcnasty now.

Re: Where is Mr East Fife?

I like Jay, and I'm not having a go or saying there is a direct link, but looking at the number of goals conceded since he's been dropped would suggest robbo has got it right.

In that case why are we second bottom?

Something to do with the points we have in relation to the points other teams in the league have achieved, put it together in the form of a table and hey presto we're 8th.

hammy and hissy try but as we can all see the goals r just not happnin.

Don't disagree with most of your post but totally unfair to label Smart and most of the squad as 3rd division players.

Stuart totally disagree with that if I remember right smart won the third division player of the year so he was too good for that league at the time and now your saying he's not good enough for the 2nd?? And Most of our squad are third division players I don't think so at all look at our mid field all good play above the third defence all could play higher strikers well il give u that one

Eh?Because Smart won the 3rd Division POTY doesn`t equate to him being too good for the 3rd division.A player could have been pish and still win POTY,he would just need to be less pish than the rest

Re: Where is Mr East Fife?

smarts not even a good amatuer player.as a postie he's fine.
