Away From The Numbers

All good things come to an end. Or so they say. AFTN has been around since 1989, first as a fanzine and then making the jump to a website and forum in 2003. We've been through the many ups and down at East Fife in those 12 years but policing the forum has become a giant pain in the ass in recent years. As such, we made the decision not to renew it when it expired.

The forum is no more and will remain as a locked archive until it is eventually deleted by the host. We're looking in to try to save some of the content as an archive.

This is not the end of AFTN though. The site will continue and will be revamped and return in its full glory for the start of the 2016/17 season. Maybe even sooner. There will be a comment sections and possibly even a new, registered forum. Check our Twitter (@aftnwebsite) for all the latest info and we'll also post in on the EFFC memories Facebook page.

Until then, have a last browse here, thanks for all your support over the years, and 'Mon the Fife.

Re: latest scores mar 8th

Hamilton came on as a sub, missed a penalty and was then taken off and replaced by Fagan. I take it he is injured again. We don't have our worries to seek in terms of injuries ! Should try to get Paul McQuade in on loan or Graham Bayne on pay as you play after he plays his final game for Dundee as a trialist. Only 4 subs tonight - no Cargill, no sub keeper. Squad is stretched to the limit. Players have done brilliantly but playing two games a week will take it's toll so another couple of players wouldn't go amiss.

He's palying ?? I thought he was injured (had a breakdown recovering from his big injury) again, must've recovered quickly. Would love him at Bayview.

Good away point tonight and by all accounts unlucky not to take all three. With Forfar winning tonight, we HAVE to win on Saturday for the play-offs to be within reach, if they're not out of reach already after tonight - ten games left after Saturday. Great to see Smarty on the scoresheet.

Re: latest scores mar 8th

Bayne came on as a sub on Sat and he started against Cowdenbeath tonight. He can only play one more game as a trialist and Dundee are not allowed to sign anyone so he'll be available. Did he play under Robbo at Inverness ?

Re: latest scores mar 8th

Aye, played under Robertson and Brewster I think.

Bayne shows he can still cut it in Dundee outing...

Just looking at the table, Forfar could go joint second with their game in hand - another team straight up from the 3rd, aiming for the 1st Division.

Re: latest scores mar 8th

Was about to post after 85 mins that 1 more goal for us followed by a win on Saturday would see us in play of place.

The goal didn't come and the loons score two late goals and all of a sudden the gap is 8.

Still - a good away point, 10 from 12 in 4 away games! a point further away from bottom (GD efffectively makes it two)

A result on Sat keeps the faith for a play off spot - still a lot of football to be played yet.
