Away From The Numbers

All good things come to an end. Or so they say. AFTN has been around since 1989, first as a fanzine and then making the jump to a website and forum in 2003. We've been through the many ups and down at East Fife in those 12 years but policing the forum has become a giant pain in the ass in recent years. As such, we made the decision not to renew it when it expired.

The forum is no more and will remain as a locked archive until it is eventually deleted by the host. We're looking in to try to save some of the content as an archive.

This is not the end of AFTN though. The site will continue and will be revamped and return in its full glory for the start of the 2016/17 season. Maybe even sooner. There will be a comment sections and possibly even a new, registered forum. Check our Twitter (@aftnwebsite) for all the latest info and we'll also post in on the EFFC memories Facebook page.

Until then, have a last browse here, thanks for all your support over the years, and 'Mon the Fife.

New season,new look programme

As it says above,we have a new look programme for the new season. Firstly there is a new look cover which also highlights a season featuring EFFC legends to commemorate our 110th anniversary with George Aitken
being this week's legend.
As well as retaining several of our regular features we are also re-introducing our player interviews and this week feature Gareth Wardlaw.
Another regular new article will be Football Ground Time Team with the first part on Methil Rovers founded 1892 (the article's author still has a programme he bought)
Other new regular features include Beyond The Breeze Block, a Programme Blog and Games Of Their Lives.

Coming up during the season we will also have new articles such as When Bayview Danced To The Calypso Beat and Manchester United In Methil.
Another series to look out for is The Gaffers with the first two articles featuring David McLean and Scot Symon.

I usually buy mine outside the ground from a 7 foot ex LA Lakers star or Mark Lawrensons big brother.
It good the club give meaningful employment to these retired gents.

I'll have you know that I am in fact an ex Thornton Hibs player, the Lakers turned me down cos I wasn't tall enough!!!

I'll have you know that I used to play for Aberhill Primary and would probably have gone on to play for East Fife if the LA Lakers hadn't come along saying that you don't have to be tall,just good.
