After alot of searching on the internet I managed to find only two photo's of Poupée Bocar dated 2003. Unfortunately I couldn't get photos larger than the two below.
Even if one likes "Volare" as a song, it can not be denied that Poupee's never-ending rendition that lasted in excess of SEVEN MINUTES (admittedly for plot purposes we grant) was quite hard to take after awhile (and is the one thing that I dislike about a favorite episode of mine on repeat viewings).
Wow ... interesting find Mitch. I was wondering about her myself having just burned a copy of for a friend. She certainly looked composed in 2003, but in my Columbo memory, she'll always be the one who butchers "Volare." I mean, makes me want to pull a Hayden on her too every time I run the episode, and I didn't even get to sleep with her!
Staying with the music from this story...I think this is the episode where, in the background, a 'lounge style' version of the Tom Jones hit It's Not Unusual is playing. It took me a couple of watches of this episode to realise that was what it was. Mind you its a bit of a wobbly recording as it seems to go out of tune a couple of times.... maybe it was rough seas whilst the band was playing
