I noticed a death notice for James Robert Vaughan in the Times Standard newspaper today - It mentions he was at Centerville Beach from July 1976 to October 1981 - He also helped decommission Midway - It mentions he visited Bermuda, Keflavik and St Johns. It appears he was a civilian - He lived at Fortuns CA and retired from the USGS in 1995
