Good and accurate posting Jim - most of this information is in various Veterans Service Orgnization publications - and in such places as Shift Colors (on-line only now), as well as Navy Times. Sad to say, for the first time since 1963 I no longer subscribe to Navy Times. It seems to have become much more of a "shock value tabloid" than newsworthy information to the Navy, at large. Can't pick up one without reading about some officer or senior PO being "fired" or disciplined in one way or another - doesn't give junior enlisteds much confidence in their leadership, needless to say.
Other sources provide timely and accurate information. I also missed the CPO orders that used to be helpful in keeping tabs on fellow shipmates, as well as
pages full of "real job" advertisements - rather than plugs for lawyers, etc.

Jim, I've had some problems with the mail-order system.....if, like me, you are still employed and have other insurance, you have to use your other insurance first...they gave me a big hassle over that.
