Today was Tom Fogarty's birthday. He has been gone for 22 years and I still miss him. Tom was a dedicated member of our Navy. I was privileged to have known him.
A hearty 2nd to that feeling Peter. I had the pleasure of serving with Tom off and on from 75 through his passing in 83 while he was leading the SPAWAR/NAVELEX 'TASS' team from PME124. I was on the USS McCloy earlier (75-77) and later Tom and his able assistaant Harvey Robke put me on their SQR-15 Tiger Team for a while. Traveling with the likes of Tom, then later both of these two fine gents was the experience of a lifetime. Remarkable memories. And yep, get Tom visiting you in a TASS hanger that was yours... it could be a little dicey until he got to know you. Tom alone was formidable, later adding Harvey to the mix, Tom created a ledgendary status in TASS land.
