Thanks to Netflix I am enjoying the documentary titled Azorian: The raising of the K-129. I find it interesting how the "Air Force's network of undersea hydrophones" was used to locate the position of the sub when it broke up and sank. Anybody else see the irony in this "newly declassified" documentary? It Seems that the truth is still out there.
AFTAC vans at SOSUS sites were there to detect explosions. So, to say it was an Air Force show sort of misrepresents the equipment used to find K-129. Nice video though.
