Wednesday, May 22, 1968, ninety-nine men did all they could to save their boat. Their loved ones had no idea anything had happened to them until Monday 27th. They've now been on eternal patrol for 44 years. May 99 gallant submarine sailors Rest in Peace.

That was a long sad weekend at work on COSL staff. That was the last crew I briefed prior to their deployment to the Med. Rest in Peace.
