I will be a Instructor for the blind and visually impaired for the Idaho Comission for the blind starting Jun 27. I am really excited to move my career to a new population. I have been working with developmentally disabled for the last 2.5 years and tied to the whims of medicaid cuts and budget cuts take services away.
The upside is that it is a state job so the pay and benefits are way better than working for a non-profit. I was supposed to have an interview on Tuesday for a job in Juvenile Justice working teaching special ed to Juvenile inmates - I had to make the choice to turndown the interview and take this job! It just seemed like the right hink to do.
