I thought that I good idea for a string would be CARPOOLS of the past. I remember two in particular that can be used to kick it off. My longest CARPOOL stint was with Gary Peterson. We car pooled in Hawaii from 1974-6 from base housing (Halsey Terrace) to Hospital Point (Ford Island launch), and then again in Keflavik in the 77-78 time frame.

My very last navy CARPOOL was with OT2 Jim Donovan (Campton Heights, Fortuna to Centerville).

Lots of interesting and memorable moments from past car pools, including being stranded in a snow storm with Gary halfway between the site and the base exchange. Oh, what a night!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My only real carpool was in Bermuda with Dan Cushing... Couldn't afford a car yet.. Finally got a moped though. Did hitch rides with Dick Railton from time to time in Norfolk when we were at COSL in the same section.
