RTF Dam Neck Latin Phrase?

I have a patch from RTF Dam Neck that has a Latin phrase on it. I am curious if anyone knows the translation of the phrase or the original intent on using the phrase on the patch? I have tried some of the online Latin translation websites, but cannot seem to get a good translation.

AD PROGREDIENDAM SCIENTIAM NOVAM PROFICIENDEMOUE

Not sure about that last word though. Have used it as a whole word with no translation, but if I separate the last three letters it could be PROFICIENDEM OUE, or it could actually be PROFICIENDEM QUE with a "Q". It's difficult to read because of the colors fading. But that last one actually translates as "new sheep"...

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Re: RTF Dam Neck Latin Phrase?

Peggy,

Google translates it as "Science proficiency and progress of the new breed"

MOUE is a separate word.

Sounds about right as "sheep" though.

Cheers,

Greg
