What isn't discussed in the link is whether or not the Australians (or anyone else for that matter) requested the data from AFTAC for Diego Garcia HA08S to see if they could find anything that might correlate to what was seen on Cape Leeuwin HA01 and the Aussies Integrated Marine Observing System (IMOS) systems. If they have analyzed the data from HA08S and weren't able to correlate anything; that in itself, could lend some credence to the impact site being somewhere to the north of Diego Garcia such that bathymetric blockage prevented HA08S for detecting the impact.
