ACTION: Annual Call for Cable Newsletter Articles - Due 15 Oct 2015

ACTION: Annual Call for Cable Newsletter Articles - Due 15 Oct 2015

Greetings, all. It's time to publish an annual edition of "The Cable", the official newsletter of the IUSS CAESAR Alumni Association. The last issue was published in November of 2014.

As we have in the past, the Association plans to publish this year's newsletter before Thanksgiving. We will collect inputs during October; collate the newsletter in the first half of November; and plan to publish in late November.

Please consider submitting an article for publication. It doesn't need to be a masterpiece or 10-page journal article - just looking for short stories of interest to our membership.

Authors of articles published in "The Cable" will receive a limited edition, 4-inch, embroidered, IUSSCAA patch.

Questions, comments and articles can be forwarded directly to me at Jim_Donovan53@yahoo.com

Thanks and best regards,

Jim Donovan

Having been in Jim's shoes for number of years he needs and deserves your support to keep "THE CABLE" a viable and living and breathing document that chronicles life past and present in the System. No story is too small, nor in significant and no one judges the writing so please step up and support our Director! Hail Caesar. EKD

Re: ACTION: Annual Call for Cable Newsletter Articles - Due 15 Oct 2015

Hello, all. Just an update on the November 2015 newsletter. To date I have received 2 articles (Bruce Rule and John Curtis);4 short stories (Greg Dyer, Tom Wirkutis, John Cassidy and Pete Devana); and 5 "Liberty" stories (George Widenor, Nick Van Herpen, Mike Hein, Irv DeMatties and Ron Doke).

That's not a whole lot. Please consider submitting an article, photo (with appropriate caption); short story or liberty memory. Thus far the inputs have ranged from 2 -3 3 paragraphs to 1 - 2 pages.
