As we approach Thanksgiving Linda and I are reminded the many Thanksgiving dinners we celebrated while in the Navy. One thing was certain we always had family on that day no matter where we were stationed. We also always made sure that any single shipmates who wanted to come and share dinner with us , no matter where the dinner would be served had that option. I am positive that still is the case where ever it is possible to share Thanksgiving with ALL of our military folks.
Happy Thanksgiving All
Chuck & Linda Cable
Great words Chuck! Deb and I also think of those wonderful days gone by. We were a huge family and were always there for each other. Deb and I send our blessings to you and Linda and all our friends and family. Happy Thanksgiving to all.
Great thoughts and memories! We often had single guys at our home for Thanksgiving dinner (and, sometimes, just for a regular spaghetti/meatball dinner). I recall one time we spent turkey day with the Losey's in BDA.
For nearly 30 years, Linda was a waitress and most often had to work on Thanksgiving day. So, we started a tradition (that lasts until this time) of having our family Thanksgiving dinner the Sunday before. That has actually worked to the advantage of our entire family, as our daughters (and their families) are able to spend Thanksgiving day with their in-laws.
