U.S. Cold War Nuclear Target Lists - Thank You Michael; More on the Snark

The SNARK was a fiasco. Eleuthera was part of the MILS system; as such, we
supported launches from the Cape.

One limerick I remember was:

I shot a Snark into the air;
It fell to earth Io I know not where.

One launch was conjectured to have ended up somewhere in the Amazon basin.

Another beast was the NAVAHO: It cruised at 1200 mph at 80,000 feet - pretty
impressive for the late 1950s - but was shelved when the ATLAS ICBM became
operational.
