I received an update from Jack's wife Sue today. She was actually driving when they got t-boned. She has been released from the hospital and is on the mend at home in Milton, Delaware where they are from. Jack remains in the trauma center with several broken ribs which have caused problems to internal organs. He has contracted pneumonia and now a possible blood clot in the lung. They are attempting to wean him off life support but are not able to at this point. Sue and Jack's sister will keep me posted and I will relay information as I find out.
Ed - Amy Doggett spoke with Sue last night. Sue hasn't seen Jack since the accident, which happened on 15 December, because they were sent to separate hospitals. His is three hours away from their home. Sue just got out of the hospital two days ago. She is hoping that a home aide will take her to see Jack this weekend. I guess she has been unwell for some time, while Jack has struggled with the effects of his two strokes. Prayers are going up from the King and Doggett households. MA
Just received this update from Jack's sister. Let's keep him and his family in our thoughts and prayers.
Hi John, I just wanted to give you an update that you can please pass onto Jacks friends that you know. We were down there over the pass few days meeting with doctors and seeing Jack. He has a long road ahead of him. He is still on the ventilator and is battling several blood infections along with blood clots in his lungs. We are keeping visitation down to immediate family only. He has began to come out of sediation, but get's easily aggitated that he can not communicate with the ventilator. Again please keep those prayers going.
