A Really Hilarious Comment About a Drug-Using Athlete
While researching the subject of Olympic sprinter reaction times for use in my recent Pressure-Hull Collapse posting, I ran across the following comment with reference to the disqualification of Ben Johnson, the Canadian sprinter who - for 24 hours - appeared to have won the 1988 Olympic 100m event in a world-record time of 9.79s.
The quote: "As always, Johnson denied that he had ever taken performance-enhancing drugs (PEDs), although by 1988 he looked as if somebody had put an air hose in his mouth and turned it on."
