tricare dental

hey guys, anyone have any experience with this Tricare dental ins by delta? My wife penee and I are wondering if its worth it to get the insurance ...its not cheep and has a lot of limitations...seems like if you just pay out of pocket for cleanings and hope for the best your probably even up or better...even with the insurance if you go over $1300 annually your out of luck....be interested in hearing ....tks

Re: tricare dental

We've been on delta dental for a number of years. There are a number of restrictions but something you didn't mention is if your dentist is a network dentist, then it operates like Medicare and Tricare. Your dentist must accept the Tricare allowed amount which can be a pretty significant discount. Finally, if you and your wife have few dental problems then savings could be a crap shoot. I had the same concerns you do but am glad we took the insurance.
