Every 10th of April (THRESHER) and 22nd of May (SCORPION), I wonder if the Navy will ever officially acknowledge that the respective Courts of Inquiry made egregious errors which are still with us as the official Navy positions on the causes of these tragedies.

I was recently reminded that a quote (subject above) from the French philosopher and author, Voltaire (1694-1778), applies to these events.

On the bright side, every year more individuals become aware of the credibility issues that surround the Navy's position on the losses of THRESHER and SCORPION.
